Pokémon Center launches “Close‑Up” T‑shirts featuring character faces

The Pokémon Center announced the release of its “Pokémon Close‑Up T‑shirt” line. Thirteen designs showcasing large‑scale faces of Pokémon such as Pikachu, Slowpoke, Gengar, and Metamon became available online on July 16 at 10:00 a.m., with in‑store sales starting July 18 across all Pokémon Center locations in Japan.

The shirts are offered in three standard sizes—100, 120 and 140 centimetres—and four characters (Pikachu, Slowpoke, Gengar, Metamon) also have a free‑size version. Standard sizes are priced at ¥2,750 each, while the free‑size models cost ¥3,850. Some designs include special details, such as Metamon’s silhouette shape, Mimiqui’s pocket‑styled ears, and Wakka‑nezu’s hand‑pocket feature.

The merchandise is intended for both children and adults, with the free‑size option marketed for families and groups wishing to coordinate outfits.
