Pokémon TCG launches all‑foil 30th Celebration expansion worldwide on Sept 16 2026

The Pokémon Company announced the Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration expansion, slated for a simultaneous global release on 16 September 2026. Every card in the set will be foil, including basic energy cards, and each booster pack will contain five foil cards plus one foil basic energy.

The set introduces a new "Futuristic Rare" category illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN, debuting with Mew and Mewtwo. It also features 30 unique foil Pikachu cards, each drawn by a different artist, and revisits 30 classic cards such as the Base Set Charizard, now with foil treatment. Classic reprints are not legal in the Standard format but can be used in formats that accept original prints.

The launch follows recent production milestones for the TCG—85 billion cards produced to date—and comes amid ongoing supply‑chain challenges and high demand from collectors and competitive players.
