Pokémon GO announces Mega Ascension and Mega Finale events

Pokémon GO will host the Mega Ascension event from August 31 to September 4, serving as a lead-up to the GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale. During Mega Ascension, players can participate in daily rotating Mega Raids, including bosses such as Mega Victreebel, Mega Dragonite, and Mega Honchkrow. The event features special bonuses, such as a potential for special backgrounds for Pokémon caught in Mega Raids and enhanced visual effects during Mega Evolution.

Players can also participate in free Time Challenges to earn GO Passes. Additionally, the event includes a daily Raid Hour from 18:00 to 19:00. The Mega Finale itself is scheduled for September 5 and 6, with Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y expected to appear during the two-day period.
