Pokémon GO celebrates 10th anniversary with global events and Taipei exhibition

Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of global and local events. Niantic and The Pokémon Company have launched a “Mewtwo Timed Research” event, offering players the chance to encounter a Mewtwo with maxed-out stats and a special background. This research must be completed by September 6, 2026.

In Taiwan, a special 10th-anniversary exhibition is being held at the Daan Forest Park Station of the Taipei Metro from August 15 to September 13. The event features themed photo zones, a message wall, and meet-and-greet sessions with Pikachu and Eevee. The regional marketing director for Asia-Pacific noted Taiwan's importance as a key market, citing the high level of player dedication during recent typhoons.

In-game activities include weekly Community Days, special raids, and themed postcard collections available at various Taipei Metro stations through September 13.
