Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Global event focuses on Mega Mewtwo Y raid strategies

The Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Global (補填) event is scheduled for July 26 and features a Super Mega Raid against Mega Mewtwo Y. Because the raid boss deploys a shield that only Mega‑evolution (Mega Shinka) Pokémon can break, trainers are advised to include any Mega‑Shinka Pokémon in their party, with recommended options such as Mega BanGryasu, Mega Herugaa, Mega Gengar, Mega Absol, Mega Jupetta, and Mega Heracross for shield‑breaking, and strong attackers like Neon Necrozma, Darkrai, BanGryasu, Shanda, Giratina, and Dragapult for the damage phase.

With the event expected to have fewer participants than usual, firepower becomes critical. Using the field effect “Kyōjūzan” from Zacian (Sword of the King) boosts all Pokémon damage by roughly 10 % for six minutes, which can significantly improve raid success rates, especially in low‑attendance areas. Trainers are also reminded to manage resources, such as converting “Mystery Candy” to Zacian candy, and to keep Mega‑Shinka Pokémon alive between battles.

Remote raids require “Link Charge” and can consume many PokéCoins, so local participation is recommended when possible.
