Pokémon GO golden crown item expires on July 19 in Japan

Players of Pokémon GO who obtained the “Golden Crown” (きんのおうかん) through the GO Fest 2026 Global GO Pass have until Sunday, July 19, to use the item. After that date the item vanishes from the bag with no warning, as it cannot be stored.

The crown enables rapid individual‑value (IV) maximisation for rare Pokémon such as Armored Mewtwo, exhibition‑only species, and legendary forms. Players are advised to start the associated “Super Training” tasks promptly, as the tasks have a 365‑day completion deadline and can be time‑consuming, especially for lower‑IV Pokémon.
