Niantic’s mobile game Pokémon GO will run a Max Battle Day on 1 August from 14:00 to 17:00 Japan time, featuring the grass‑type attacker Kyodai Max Goliath. The event is described as high‑difficulty, and players are advised to obtain at least one Kyodai Max Goliath, which can use the exclusive max move “Kyodai Koranda”.

The colour‑variant of Kyodai Max Goliath appears for the first time during this event, and trainers are encouraged to focus all level‑up resources on the max move. The battle can accommodate up to 100 participants, though 20‑30 coordinated players are usually enough to defeat the water, ground and rock‑type bosses that appear.

The guide suggests targeting busy locations such as train stations, large parks or shopping malls to gather enough players and maximise the chances of success.
