Pokémon GO hosts Mega Ascension event with returning Mega Evolution Pokémon

Pokémon GO is hosting a ‘Mega Ascension’ event running from August 31 to September 4. The event features the return of Mega Evolution Pokémon that previously appeared in Super Mega Raids, but they are now appearing as standard 4-star Mega Raids.

On the first day of the event, players can encounter Mega Victreebel, Mega Dragonite, and Mega Liepard. Because these are standard raids without shields, solo or small-group play is possible. Players are encouraged to collect 5,000 energy per Pokémon to reach Mega Level 4, which provides significant bonuses for candy and XL candy drops for specific types.
