Pokémon GO launches airport collaboration event across Japanese hubs
Niantic’s mobile game Pokémon GO is hosting a multi‑airport “Pokémon Jet” collaboration in Japan. The first phase runs from July 28 2024 16:00 to August 31 2027 20:00 at six locations – New Chitose, Hakodate, Akita, Sendai, Haneda (Terminals 2 & 3) and Narita (Terminal 1). Players can visit specially designed PokéStops and Gyms featuring ANA‑themed designs, catch a background‑styled Charmander in raid battles, and complete limited‑time challenges.
Ahead of the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Global event (July 11‑12 2026), players are advised to clear inventory space. Tips include sending low‑IV Pokémon to Professor Willow, bulk‑deleting duplicate or costume‑only Pokémon, and prioritising legendary and shiny specimens. Maintaining at least 1,000 free slots and sufficient supplies such as balls can streamline participation in the large‑scale festival.
