Pokémon GO partners with UK National Trust for 10th‑anniversary celebrations

Niantic’s augmented‑reality game Pokémon GO is marking its 10th anniversary by teaming up with the National Trust across the United Kingdom. The partnership adds special in‑game features to more than 140 Trust sites, with themed events at 27 historic properties such as Stowe Gardens, Hanbury Hall, Mount Stewart and Tredegar House during the first two weekends of August.

In London’s Shoreditch, the Pokémon GO Summer Quest will stage a live city‑wide competition on August 1‑2 and 8‑9, pitting popular online creators Miniminter (Sidemen) against Chunkz (Beta Squad). Attendees can watch the showdown, take part in exclusive activities and enter prize draws for a trip for two to Japan or to the European edition of Pokémon GO Fest 2027. The anniversary highlights the game’s global reach – over 800 million players have logged distances equivalent to hundreds of trips to the Sun and it generated roughly $1 billion in revenue in 2025.
