Pokémon Go players express frustration over Mewtwo events and server issues
Pokémon Go players are expressing dissatisfaction following the Go Fest: Mega Finale event, citing technical glitches and a perceived over-reliance on the Pokémon Mewtwo for monetization.
Recent events, including Go Fest Global in July, were reportedly impacted by server issues that disrupted raiding across multiple time zones. While the recent finale introduced new content such as Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja, players were limited to acquiring only one of the three.
Despite the technical difficulties and player apathy, developer Scopely has teased the return of Armored Mewtwo later this year. This upcoming release is expected to include the highly anticipated Shiny version, which will likely drive further raiding activity.
