Pokémon GO prepares for Mega Finale event and new evolutions

Pokémon GO is hosting a series of events including the Mega Ascension and the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale. During the Mega Ascension event, players have had access to various Mega Evolution raids, such as Mega Starmie and Mega Raichu (X and Y), which offer opportunities to collect Mega Energy and Stardust.

The Mega Finale event, scheduled for September 5 and 6, will feature the debut of Mega Evolutions for the Kalos starter Pokémon: Braixen, Fennekin, and Froakie. Players can access these through specific GO Passes. The event will also include Super Mega Raids featuring Mega Mewtwo and various other Mega Raids.

To optimize gameplay during these intensive periods, players are utilizing specific field effects. Black Kyurem’s “Freeze Shock” can increase catch success rates, while Zacian’s “Behemoth Blade” provides a damage boost to improve raid battle efficiency.
