Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai ticket sales face criticism
The second wave of notifications for the ‘Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai/Tohoku’ real-world event began on September 22. Eligible players can purchase tickets between September 23 and September 26.
Reports from social media and community forums indicate that the registration window for this wave was extremely narrow. While the first wave of notifications was sent to those who registered around 8:02 AM on September 11, the second wave appears to have only reached those who registered by approximately 8:03 AM. This means that after a one-week wait, the eligibility threshold only advanced by about one minute.
Users have expressed frustration online regarding the timing and lack of transparency. Because the official developers only contact successful applicants, many players are unsure if they have failed to secure a ticket or are simply waiting in a queue. This uncertainty has led some participants to cancel travel arrangements, such as hotel bookings, and has sparked discussions regarding the logistical difficulties faced by players planning trips for the event.
