Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald reportedly coming to Switch in 2026

Leaks suggest that the classic Pokémon titles Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald are slated for release on the Nintendo Switch in 2026. According to information shared by leaker Shpeshal Nick, the conversion project is in its final stages of development, with a potential release window between September and October.

Following the earlier release of Kanto-based adventures, this move focuses on the Hoenn region. The strategy appears to favor direct emulation to preserve the original software and ensure it runs on high-definition screens, rather than utilizing modern graphics engines or altering classic gameplay. These titles are expected to be sold individually rather than through a monthly subscription model.
