Pokémon TCG Pocket announces Team Rocket expansion

The Pokémon Company has announced the release of ‘Team Rocket’s Ambition,’ a new themed booster pack for the mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket. The expansion is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026.

The new collection focuses on the iconic Team Rocket organization, featuring cards with special designs including the signature ‘R’ mark. Confirmed cards include Team Rocket’s Articuno ex, Zapdos ex, Moltres ex, Lapras, Houndour, and Tinkaton, alongside Trainer cards such as Team Rocket’s Boss and various Grunts.

To coincide with the launch, several limited-time in-game events will take place throughout August and September. These include the Team Rocket’s Ambition Emblem Event for profile customization, Special Assignments to earn ‘Shady Tickets,’ a Lapras Drop Event for promo packs, and a Wonder Pick event featuring Fennekin and Meowstic promo cards. Additionally, new digital collection binders and display boards featuring Team Rocket’s Boss and Persian will be introduced on September 1.
