Pokémon TCG Pocket slated for major app update and upcoming expansion releases

The Pokémon Company International announced that the free‑to‑play mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket will receive a substantial 3.5 GB update on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. The patch upgrades the Unity development environment, overwrites existing data without increasing the app’s size, and includes a reward of 36 pack hourglasses for players who claim them by 30 August 2026.

An unofficial roadmap, compiled from data‑mining, lists a series of new card set releases and in‑game events scheduled for late July 2026, including the "Herrscher der Lüfte" expansion (30 July) and multiple community‑week and ranked‑season events running from 3 July to 29 July.

Players are advised to download the update over Wi‑Fi due to its size. The update aims to keep the game fresh by adding new cards, emblems, and event content while maintaining the free‑to‑play model.
