Pokémon TCG celebrates 30th anniversary with new Meowth card reveals

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the upcoming release of the "30th Celebration" expansion, scheduled for a worldwide release on September 16, 2026.

New card reveals include illustration rare variants of Meowth and its regional counterpart, Alolan Meowth. These cards feature unique, full-frame artwork that depicts the characters in natural or urban environments, such as day-and-night-themed aesthetics. The set marks three decades since the franchise's origins, which began with Satoshi Tajiri and Game Freak's release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green on Nintendo's Game Boy in 1996.
