Gamescom 2026 sets attendance and exhibitor records in Cologne

Gamescom 2026 in Cologne has concluded with record-breaking participation, attracting 368,000 visitors from 131 countries. The event featured 1,743 exhibiting companies from 66 countries, utilizing the full 233,000 square meters of the Koelnmesse exhibition space. Digital engagement was also high, with over 624 million views recorded for various programming, including 78 million for Opening Night Live.

Key gaming highlights included playable demos of 'Alien Isolation 2' by Creative Assembly, which earned the 'Best Audio' award, and upcoming titles such as 'EA Sports FC 27', 'Minecraft Dungeons II', and 'Rayman Legends Retold'. The event also showcased significant international involvement, such as the Brazilian Indie Pavilion, which featured 35 games from Brazilian studios.

Looking ahead, organizers have confirmed the dates for Gamescom 2027, scheduled for August 23 to 29, 2027.
