Rafael Márquez begins tenure with Mexican National Team

The Mexican National Team has begun its first training sessions under new head coach Rafael Márquez. The team is preparing for a series of four friendly matches in the United States against Colombia, Peru, the United States, and Chile.

As Márquez begins his tenure, the coaching staff has seen its first change with the departure of physical trainer Pol Lorente, who is leaving to join Javier Aguirre at Valencia. Additionally, the squad has faced roster adjustments due to injuries, specifically the loss of Alan Cervantes, who has been replaced by Isaías Violante.

The initial call-up features several notable names, including the return of Hirving Lozano and the inclusion of Germán Berterame and goalkeeper Alex Padilla. The training schedule involves double sessions at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento before the team travels to Baltimore for their debut against Colombia on September 26.
