Poland adds 386 municipal nursery places in Szczecin and Kruszyna

The city of Szczecin launched three new municipal nurseries that will provide a total of 370 childcare places for children up to three years old. The facilities, scheduled to open in September 2026, are located at Fregata 14/U1, Bohaterów Getta Warszawskiego 5A/U1 and Pszczelna 9, and aim to support families returning to work with modern equipment and professional staff.

In the neighbouring Gmina Kruszyna, a municipal nursery with 16 places opened its enrollment period for the 2026/2027 school year. Applications are accepted from 16 July to 31 July 2026 at the gmina office on Kościelna 70, with a verification process and final list announced in early August. The new nursery seeks to meet local demand for early‑childhood care.

Together, these initiatives increase Poland's municipal childcare capacity by 386 spots, reflecting local authorities' efforts to expand early‑education services.
