Mazovian municipalities receive nearly 60 million zł for household sewage treatment projects

The Mazovian regional government has allocated close to 60 million zł to gminas and towns across the province to fund the construction of household sewage treatment plants. Each beneficiary can receive up to 1.5 million zł, covering 30‑75 % of eligible costs, with the aim of reducing wastewater pollution and improving water and soil quality in areas not served by municipal sewer networks.

Gmina Tłuszcz was awarded almost 1.4 million zł from the same regional budget to install a household sewage treatment system. The funding supports local residents in sparsely populated zones where extending conventional sewerage would be uneconomical, thereby enhancing sanitation and environmental protection.

Both programmes are part of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (2023‑2027) and are financed jointly by EU funds and the state budget, reflecting a broader effort to modernise rural infrastructure in the Mazovian voivodeship.
