Poland advances CAMM-MR/FCM missile development with MBDA UK
The Polish Armament Agency and the Ministry of National Defence have provided updates regarding the development of the CAMM-MR/FCM anti-aircraft missile program. The project is a collaborative effort involving MBDA UK and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A., with oversight from the Armament Agency.
Currently, work is focused on establishing a business model and financing for the conceptual-analytical phase. A key upcoming milestone is the signing of a Program Arrangement, which is pending the acceptance of proposed business and pricing solutions. The program aims for a high level of Polish localization in production, though the final scope will depend on the domestic industry's ability to absorb technology transfers from the Narew and Wisła programs.
The CAMM-MR missiles are intended for use in ground-based systems within the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). Operational readiness and integration with Miecznik-class frigates will depend on the development pace of the missile. The Armament Agency noted that while the project is complex and involves significant international cooperation, the project remains a priority for the Polish Armed Forces.
