Poland advances defense technology with Sajna radar award and Saab training contract

At the MSPO 2026 International Defence Industry Exhibition, a consortium including PIT-Radwar, the Military University of Technology, and the Warsaw University of Technology received the Director of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) Award. The honor was granted for the development of the Sajna multi-function fire control radar, designed for the Narew short-range anti-aircraft missile systems.

In a separate development regarding Polish military readiness, Saab has signed a new agreement to provide technical support for five Polish combat training centers. This contract extends the service of laser battlefield simulation systems through the end of 2028. The training network includes the Combat Training Center in Drawsko Pomorskie and company-level centers in Żagań, Orzysz, Wędrzyn, and Nowa Dęba, supporting both Polish forces and NATO allies.
