Poland advances regional cultural heritage projects

In the Zielona Góra region, local artisans displayed traditional "Szeptanki" pottery, highlighting the craft's role in regional identity. Meanwhile, the public library in Lipnica Wielka organized intergenerational workshops as part of the "Orawska Mapa Głosów" project. Participants recorded oral histories and rare vocabulary of the Orawska dialect, preparing an interactive audio map that will preserve and promote the language for future generations. Both initiatives received support from Polish cultural‑diversity programs and aim to sustain local traditions.

These efforts reflect a broader push in Poland to document and revitalize regional cultural expressions, from folk crafts to dialects, through community‑based activities and public funding.
