Poland advances tourism analytics with AI platform and launches local tourism planning consultation
The Świętokrzyska University of Technology, supported by the National Centre for Research and Development and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, began a three‑phase research project called exPLo AI. The project, valued at over 33 million złoty, aims to create an AI‑driven platform that analyses and predicts tourist activity across Poland using data from mobile operators, payment systems, reservation portals and social media.
Separately, the mayor of Gmina Siedlisko announced a public consultation on a local spatial development plan named “Rów Krzycki – Tourism and Recreation”. The consultation runs from 8 May to 8 June 2026, with an open meeting scheduled for 21 May. Residents can submit comments in writing, electronically or orally, and the plan includes an environmental impact forecast.
