Poland agricultural subsidies: New grants and aid regulations

Polish agricultural sectors are preparing for various subsidy programs and support mechanisms. The National Council of Agricultural Chambers (KRIR) has raised concerns regarding a government draft regulation for fertilizer and fuel aid. Key objections include a perceived too-short eligibility period for fertilizer purchases and the absence of specified base average prices, which prevents farmers from calculating potential support of up to 500 PLN per hectare.

Separately, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) is launching a new call for applications on October 1, 2026. This program targets small-scale food processing and sales (RHD) and marginal, local, and limited activities (MOL). Grants range from 30,000 PLN to 120,000 PLN for RHD, while micro-entrepreneurs in the MOL category may receive up to 500,000 PLN.

Looking further ahead, a pilot program for beef and pork producer organizations is planned for the first half of 2027. If approved by the European Commission, these organizations could receive up to 500,000 EUR (over 2 million PLN) to fund investments in barns, machinery, silos, and biosecurity, with reimbursements covering up to 60 percent of eligible costs.
