Poland and GE Aerospace sign Apache engine service deal

Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 (WZL Nr 1), a subsidiary of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, has signed an agreement with GE Aerospace to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for T700/CT7 engine families in Poland.

The agreement is part of the offset obligations following Poland's purchase of 96 AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters. These engines are also utilized in other aircraft used by the Polish military, including the Black Hawk, AW149, and AW101.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk, the facility in Dęblin is intended to serve not only the Polish fleet but may also provide engine services for international allies in the future. This contract follows previous agreements regarding the maintenance of Apache fire control systems and airframe structural components.
