Poland and Germany warn of Russian hybrid attacks against Ukraine allies

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned that intelligence services indicate Russia is planning hybrid attacks using drones and missiles against nations supporting Ukraine, including Poland. These operations are intended to appear accidental, with the goal of undermining NATO members' motivation to invoke alliance rules in the event of aggression.

U.S. President Donald Trump commented on these warnings, stating that Russia has been attacking Ukraine's allies for approximately five years.

Germany has also reported similar concerns. The German National Security Council suggests the country is a target of Russian hybrid warfare. This follows an incident at Leipzig/Halle airport where an explosive-laden drone was discovered near a Ukrainian Antonov aircraft. In response to such tensions, Germany recently closed the Russian consulate in Bonn and terminated the treaty for the Russian House cultural institute in Berlin, leading to retaliatory closures by Moscow.
