Poland and Slovakia launch

Local authorities from Poland and Slovakia have launched the "Sources of History" project, a cross-border initiative funded by the European Union to revitalize regional historical sites.

The project focuses on two main locations: the medieval castle ruins in Plavča, Slovakia, and the historic Villa "Krzywoń" in Rabka-Zdrój, Poland. In Slovakia, the development will include improved tourism infrastructure such as parking, road reconstruction, and a new bicycle path connected to the EuroVelo 11 route.

In Poland, the renovation of Villa "Krzywoń" will incorporate a modern multimedia exhibition detailing the region's trade traditions and spa heritage. The total budget for the project exceeds 4.47 million euros, with over 3.4 million euros provided by EU funding through the Interreg Poland-Slovakia 2021-2027 program. All works are scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
