Poland implements various regional community and social support programs
Various regional and national initiatives in Poland are providing support for community development, education, and social services.
The government program ‘Moc Małych Społeczności’ (Power of Small Communities), managed by the National Institute of Freedom – Centre for Civil Society Development (NIW-CRSO), has announced results for its first priority. Over 200 projects were selected to strengthen the resilience of small and medium-sized NGOs, focusing on crisis preparedness and local community needs. A second priority of the same program is also offering grants of up to 10,000 PLN for local leaders in the Lublin region to boost community activation and safety.
In the Małopolska region, funding is being directed toward bilingual education projects for children and infrastructure for culture and tourism. Meanwhile, in the Silesian Voivodeship, the WFOŚiGW in Katowice reports high demand for micro-retention subsidies, with over 1,060 applications submitted to support rainwater harvesting.
Social service projects are also active in several municipalities, including Miękinia, providing assistance to people with disabilities and those requiring respite care. Additionally, local authorities like the Wołomin District are conducting public consultations to define cooperation frameworks with social organizations for 2027.
