Poland announces major tax reforms and KSeF updates for 2027
Poland is undergoing significant fiscal and digital tax transformations scheduled for 2027. The Ministry of Finance has announced an extension of the period without sanctions for errors within the National e-Invoice System (KSeF) until December 31, 2027. However, starting January 1, 2027, taxpayers must include KSeF numbers or aggregate identifiers in their transfers.
A new personal income tax (PIT) reform has been submitted to the Sejm. This proposal aims to adjust tax thresholds to mitigate inflation, potentially saving workers up to 3,600 PLN annually. The 12 percent tax threshold will rise to 130,000 PLN, while a new 24 percent rate will apply to income between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN. The highest 32 percent rate will apply to income exceeding 150,000 PLN. To fund these changes, the government proposes increasing the CIT rate for large corporations (over 50 million EUR revenue) from 19 to 22 percent and raising the solidarity tax.
Additionally, tax limits for 2027 will be adjusted upward due to a higher EUR exchange rate set by the National Bank of Poland. This affects various thresholds, including those for small taxpayers and de minimis depreciation.
