Poland detains second suspect in killing of Russian critic

Polish authorities have detained a second suspect in connection with the June murder of Robert Kuzovkov, a Russian artist known for criticizing President Vladimir Putin. The victim, also known as Semion Skrepecki, was shot five times in Biała Podlaska in eastern Poland.

Internal Security Agency (ABW) officials announced that Mahmud A., a 22-year-old Georgian citizen, has been placed in pre-trial detention for three months. He is accused of complicity in the murder, specifically for activities that assisted the primary suspect, Elnur A., in committing the crime. Mahmud A. also faces charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The primary suspect, Elnur A., a 36-year-old Georgian citizen, was previously arrested and charged with murder after firing five shots at the victim while he was walking his dog. The investigation is being conducted by the ABW Lublin branch and the National Prosecutor's Office.
