Poland authorizes Irazu 100 SE for rapeseed flea beetle control
The Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a temporary authorization for the use of the insecticide Irazu 100 SE to combat the rapeseed flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) in winter rapeseed. The authorization, number R/j-5/2026, is valid from September 1, 2026, until December 13, 2026.
Irazu 100 SE is a suspension concentrate emulsion containing the active substance cyantraniliprole, which belongs to the anthranilic diamide group (IRAC group 28). The product acts through contact and ingestion, providing systemic and translaminar activity within the plant. Following application, insects experience paralysis within hours, with the full effect visible within 3 to 6 days.
The National Association of Rapeseed and Protein Crop Producers noted that the treatment should be applied in autumn during the BBCH 11–30 growth stages, from the first leaf stage to the beginning of shoot elongation. The recommended maximum dose is 400 ml/ha, and it should not be applied more than once every three seasons on the same area.
