Poland bans imported food products over safety and labeling concerns

The Polish Chief Sanitary Inspectorate ordered the withdrawal of two batches of Apetilki Petit Beurre biscuits after laboratory tests revealed acrylamide levels above the permitted limit. The biscuits, produced by Eurobrand Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw, are advised against consumption, and the manufacturer has reduced acrylamide in newer production.

The Chief Inspectorate for Quality of Food Products (IJHARS) also issued a prohibition on two shipments from Thailand: a 720‑litre soy drink lacking required flavor information and a 1,814.4 kg batch of Chinese pickled cabbage mislabelled as fermented and missing additive details. The bans are part of broader checks that have examined over 81,000 imported food batches this year.
