Poland braces for rising heat and a warm front as Anticyclone Gorgias approaches

A warm front moving eastward across Poland is bringing higher temperatures and increased cloud cover. Forecasts indicate daytime highs of 22‑28 °C in most regions, with the southern‑west reaching up to 26‑28 °C and occasional thunderstorms and light rain expected in the south and north‑east on Wednesday.

The approaching Anticyclone Gorgias will further alter conditions, introducing a weak to moderate north‑west wind and the possibility of brief showers and hail in mountainous areas. Temperatures are expected to rise above 30 °C by the weekend, signalling a heat wave for much of the country.
