Poland celebrates 30th anniversary of Land Forces Day
Poland is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Land Forces Day. The Minister of National Defence issued a statement honoring the soldiers of the Polish Land Forces for their service in ensuring national security.
The Minister highlighted the ongoing modernization of the military, the introduction of advanced equipment, and the importance of building interoperability with allies to counter hybrid threats from the east. The Land Forces represent the largest component of the Polish Armed Forces and serve as the backbone of the country's defense.
The holiday commemorates the victory at the Battle of Vienna in 1683, where Polish forces led by King Jan III Sobieski defeated the Ottoman Empire.
