Poland Celebrates World Blood Donor Day, Honoring Volunteers
Poland marked World Blood Donor Day with messages of gratitude to blood donors. The Warsaw Municipal Police highlighted its long‑standing blood‑donor club, noting that its members have donated over 33 liters of blood this year, with one member reaching 78.61 liters in total.
The Polish Red Cross regional branch in Toruń also issued thanks to honor‑blood donors, stressing the role of local clubs, public blood‑service facilities and municipalities in supporting the mission. Leaders of the Red Cross and the national honor‑donor council were named in the statement.
Both organisations used the occasion to encourage new donors, emphasizing that each donation can save several lives and that giving blood remains a safe, vital contribution to public health.
