Poland channels 75 mln zł to modernise Pomeranian schools and public buildings

On 7 July 2026 the Pomeranian Voivodeship signed eight contracts allocating more than 75 million zł of EU funds to seven municipalities for energy‑efficient upgrades of schools, health centres, communal buildings and new pedestrian‑bike routes. The projects involve deep thermal renovation—insulating walls, roofs and basements, replacing windows and doors, modernising heating systems, installing photovoltaic panels and LED lighting, and improving accessibility and fire safety.

Gdynia receives the largest share, over 38 million zł, to modernise six schools, covering insulation, window replacement, heating upgrades, solar panels and smart energy management. Other municipalities such as Swornegacie, Bytów, Kartuzy and Słupsk will see similar work on schools, clinics and residential blocks. Marshal Mieczysław Struk said the measures will cut energy costs and reduce harmful emissions, benefiting both budgets and the environment.
