Poland completes first stage of 400 kV Choczewo – Gdańsk Przyjaźń power line

The first stage of construction for the 400 kV Choczewo – Gdańsk Przyjaźń power line has been completed. This segment extends from the Choczewo station to pole number 64 in the Gniewino municipality.

Developed by a consortium of SPIE Energy Poland and Elfeko, the project is a strategic component of Poland's energy infrastructure designed to transmit power from offshore wind farms to the national grid. Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) reported that the new infrastructure has been connected for trial operation. Current activities involve measurements and tests to confirm operational readiness.

The full line will span approximately 90 km, passing through 10 municipalities, including Choczewo, Gniewino, Kartuzy, and Żukowo. The entire investment is scheduled for completion in 2028.
