Poland conducts military water rescue and medical emergency drills

Soldiers from the 9th Territorial Defence Brigade conducted rotational training at the Rydwan water body near Łowicz. The exercises, involving the 923rd Light Infantry Company from Kutno, focused on water-based operations including pontoon maneuvering, water crossings, and person transport. To improve coordination during crisis situations, the military collaborated with WOPR lifeguards and the Pilaszków Volunteer Fire Department (OSP).

In a separate training event titled ‘Emerest 2026’, medical practitioners gathered at Mount Lubogoszcz in the Limanowa Forest District to refine emergency response skills. Organized with support from the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Krakow, the training focused on practical field applications such as mass casualty triage, hemorrhage control, emergency pharmacotherapy, and ultrasound use (eFAST). The drills aimed to prepare responders for medical emergencies occurring in remote forest environments.
