Poland fuel prices see weekend decreases under CPN program

The Polish Ministry of Energy has announced lower maximum retail price limits for fuel during the upcoming weekend of October 31 to November 2. Under these new limits, 95 octane gasoline is capped at 6.48 PLN per liter, 98 octane gasoline at 7.32 PLN per liter, and diesel at 8.15 PLN per liter.

These measures are part of the third phase of the Ceny Paliwa Niżej (CPN) package, which aims to reduce refueling costs for drivers. The program includes reducing VAT on fuels from 23 percent to 8 percent and lowering excise duties. The current phase of the CPN program is scheduled to remain in effect until the end of 2026, with an estimated total cost to the state budget of approximately 5 billion PLN.

Separately, the Ministry of Development and Technology has introduced a new legislative project to support businesses implementing emission-neutral technologies. The proposal includes a total support value of 5 billion PLN through 2036, offered via targeted grants and income tax exemptions for up to 15 years. To qualify, companies must commit to investments of at least 110 million euros and create at least 50 new jobs.
