Poland construction leads hiring demand, hospitality sector sees summer boost

A Grafton Recruitment report shows Poland's construction sector has the strongest demand for workers among all industrial segments, driven by infrastructure, energy, grid and renewable‑energy projects. The index of recruitment demand in construction reached 1.39 in Q1 2026, well above the market average of 0.99, prompting firms to seek engineers, site managers, planners and specialists with BIM, digital and ESG expertise.

ManpowerGroup’s employment outlook for the third quarter of 2026 indicates that one‑third of Polish companies plan to hire new staff between July and September. The highest hiring intent is in hospitality and gastronomy, followed closely by technology and IT services, with finance, insurance, trade and logistics also showing notable recruitment plans. Companies cite business expansion, market entry and technological development as the main drivers of new hiring, while a fifth of firms expect no personnel changes.

Both reports highlight regional variations, noting the strongest hiring demand in Poland’s northern regions and a broader availability of jobs across the country during the summer months.
