ZUS completes massive mailing of pension adjustment decisions to 8.8 million seniors

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has finished one of the year’s biggest correspondence actions, sending more than 8.8 million document packages to pensioners and disability beneficiaries across Poland. Each envelope contains two decisions: one confirming the annual indexation of pensions and disability benefits (a 5.3 % increase this year) and another granting the so‑called 13th pension – an extra yearly payment of 1 978,49 zł gross for 2026. By combining the two notices, ZUS aims to simplify contact with clients, reduce the number of mailings and generate savings for public finances, said board member Mariusz Jedynak: “Łączymy wysyłkę obu decyzji, aby uprościć kontakt z klientami i ograniczyć liczbę przesyłek.” The distribution covered the whole country, including more than 600 000 packages to the Łódź region, and is described as one of the largest postal operations the agency has carried out this year.
