Poland deports Ukrainian nationals for illegal migration and extremist offenses

Polish authorities have deported several Ukrainian citizens following criminal investigations. A 29‑year‑old Ukrainian was arrested in Hajnówka after police identified him as a courier who had fetched four Afghan nationals and a Pakistani who had crossed the Poland‑Belarus border illegally; he was handed over to the Border Guard and faces up to eight years in prison for aiding illegal migration.

In Rybnik, a 22‑year‑old Ukrainian was detained after police said he painted Nazi symbols on a school fence and damaged property. He was charged with propagating a totalitarian regime and vandalism, and the Border Guard issued an eight‑year ban on re‑entering Poland and the Schengen area.

A 32‑year‑old Ukrainian was also deported after police linked him to repeated threats against his former partner, noting a history of violent and disorderly conduct. The Border Guard deemed his continued stay a threat to public order and ordered his removal.
