Poland economy grows 3.9% in Q2 2026, outpacing Germany
Poland's economy grew by 3.9 percent in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the previous year, significantly outpacing Germany's 1.0 percent growth during the same period. The European Commission identified robust private consumption and high levels of investment funded by EU resources as primary drivers for the Polish expansion.
While Poland remains a catching-up economy with a different economic structure than Germany, the disparity highlights the importance of domestic demand, infrastructure investment, and available labor. Meanwhile, the European e-commerce sector reached a total B2C turnover of 911 billion euros in 2025, representing a 7 percent increase from 842 billion euros the previous year. After adjusting for inflation, the sector saw a real growth rate of 4 percent.
