Poland educational initiatives promote road safety for students

Various educational initiatives in Poland are focusing on improving road safety awareness among schoolchildren. The “Błyśnij” campaign, organized by Compensa in collaboration with the Road Safety Center (CBRD), has concluded a stage of its competition. Nine primary schools were recognized for their creative video projects promoting safe behaviors, including helmet use, responsible scooter riding, and first aid knowledge.

Awarded schools include Sportowa Szkoła Podstawowa nr 4 in Szczytno, Szkoła Podstawowa in Nowa Biała, and Szkoła Podstawowa “Rajska Szkoła” in Krakow for helmet safety. Other winners were selected for scooter safety and first aid categories. As part of their prize, these institutions will receive training sessions led by road safety and first aid experts.

Separately, the “Odblaskowa Szkoła” (Reflective School) initiative, managed by the Road Traffic Bureau of the National Police Headquarters, is nearing its application deadline for the 2026 edition. This project aims to increase child safety by promoting the use of reflective elements and educating students, teachers, and parents on traffic regulations and responsible road behavior.
