Poland energy experts discuss local cooperatives and transformation

Local government officials and energy experts in Poland are focusing on energy transformation through the development of energy cooperatives and strategic investment planning.

In the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, discussions held in Zbójno addressed the technical and organizational aspects of forming cooperatives involving municipalities such as Zbójno, Radomin, Golub-Dobrzyń, Bobrowo, and Rypin. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Agricultural Advisory Center (KPODR) is providing support in planning and identifying funding opportunities to promote citizen energy initiatives.

In Krukach, a conference organized by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw focused on practical solutions for local authorities to reduce electricity and heating costs while enhancing energy security. The event covered new regulations regarding renewable energy sources, local strategy creation, and the practical steps required to establish functioning energy cooperatives.
