Polish counties fund new ambulance, civil‑defence warehouse and modernised rescue base

A new ambulance worth about 750,000 zł was delivered to the emergency sub‑station in Witkowo, Poland. The vehicle will serve the gminas of Witkowo, Niechanowo and Powidz and was jointly financed by Gniezno County and the three municipalities.

Powiat Ząbkowicki signed a contract on 30 June to build a 230‑square‑metre warehouse for civil‑defence and crisis‑response equipment. The facility, to be completed by 15 December 2026, will be funded entirely from the 2025‑2026 Population Protection and Civil Defence Programme.

In Żywiec, the county completed a comprehensive modernisation of its medical rescue headquarters. The €4.7 million project added a new roof, photovoltaic panels, upgraded utilities and energy‑efficient renovations, funded partly by European Union green‑development funds. The upgraded centre will improve working conditions for emergency teams and reduce operating costs.
