Poland expands digital public services with new eTax platform and PDF tools

Polish residents, including those in Bielsko‑Biała, are increasingly handling administrative matters online. The shift to electronic documents has led to a rise in the number of PDF files that citizens must edit, store and submit. Simple browser‑based PDF editors, such as Adobe Acrobat online, are being promoted as practical solutions for making quick corrections without printing and rescanning.

The development of the eUrząd Skarbowy (eTax Office) is being accelerated by funds from the National Recovery Plan (KPO). The program finances the “e‑Urząd Skarbowy 2.0” project, which will add dozens of online services by 2026, including applications for tax interpretations, changes of tax form, installment plans, and residency certificates. A new mobile app version, launched in May 2026, offers personalized dashboards, faster navigation and integrated contact options for users. These digital upgrades aim to reduce in‑person visits, streamline tax filing for the roughly 15 million taxpayers who used e‑PIT, and consolidate key tax information in a single online portal.
