Poland expands access to ‘Czyste Powietrze’ energy‑efficiency program

From 20 July 2026 the Polish “Czyste Powietrze” programme will relax eligibility rules, allowing applicants who have owned a property for less than three years to receive grants. An additional 10 % bonus will be added to selected thermomodernisation works and the advance‑payment settlement period will be extended from 120 to 180 days. Documentation requirements are being simplified, with more people authorised to confirm the removal of inefficient heating sources, and support for electric heating other than heat‑pump systems will cease after 2026.

Local authorities are preparing to inform residents. The Mogilno municipal office will host an information meeting on 8 September 2026 at the town library to explain the new rules and answer questions. In Ząbki, a free consultation point for applicants operates on Thursdays from 11:00 to 16:00, having already disbursed 2 836 963,24 zł in grants by 20 June.

The changes aim to increase the uptake of energy‑saving upgrades, lower heating costs for households and improve overall air quality across Poland.
